Luna Negra

The LUNA NEGRA KULTURZENTRUM BERN at Zentweg 17a, 3006 Bern is the beautiful place of my wondeful tangoteachers and friends Paolo and Elena, with a warm atmosphere on the outskirts of bern with plenty of room for dancing. You can reach it from Bern central train station in 11 minutes by bus number 10 in the direction of Ostermundigen to the Waldeck busstop. There are also plenty of parking spaces if you want to come by car.

Cafe Blue Moon

Here, at the edge of the dancefloor, we can meet to chat, laugh, relax, eat and drink after the lessons, during the long and beautiful dance nights...  just anytime between the dances. Our wonderful Rosa will treat you here with her selfmade soup, home-made tea blends, fresh bread, cakes and refreshing drinks.

Special Guests

27th of December - TRIO POFFET

Myria Poffet and her two men revive a musical decade long gone. With piano, double bass, drums and a velvety voice, they bring back the heyday of jazz and chanson. Bernese-German lyrics make the audience smile, ponder and dream. The trio performs unadulterated and authentic music without a net or a false bottom. In their long career, they have already enchanted many a club, theater and audience.  There are no categories fo Myria Poffet, the Bernese singer's dialect jazz. The trained pianist and skilled singer floats between styles, free from conventions and expectations. Cool swing, smoky chanson, melancholy blues - for Myria Poffet there is no either/or, but much more: a coexistence and togetherness. She is supported by Michel Poffet on double bass and David Elias on drums.

28th of  December- DUO VIOLONCELLO & ACCORDION

  • Maria Abisetti, violoncello
  • David Häggi, accordion - https://haeggi.com

In the duo violoncello and accordion we will play the dancefloor and look forward to the shuffles and taps of your dancing shoes!

About us

We are friends from all over the places that come together to dance by organizing dancing days and nights for Tango and Lindyhop.

  • Susanne Aström- Göteborg, Schweden
It’s such an inspiring mix of fun people that get together in this team to create a beautiful atmosphere – and the good vibes get me going for months afterwards.

  • Peter Von Salis- Bern, Schweiz
I love dancing and stumbling to Lindy Hop and Tango – and whenever Eva organizes a dance camp, I make sure to be there and to help out too! Lindy, Tango, Tango’es Lindy and Eva are masters of atmosphere!

  • Sarah Clausen, Bern
I have been an enthusiastic Lindy Hop dancer for many years and am currently diving into the world of tango with great curiosity. I am fascinated by how dance makes music visible – and how something new is constantly created in the dialogue between two bodies.

    Sarah

  • Rosa von Plant- from Innsbruck, in Burgdorf, Austria/Switzerland
My first milonga. Exited look into the ronda. I want to dance like that, who  is that? Ahhh... we found each other as if by magic, and now I'm even a proud member of the team and will treat you with cool drinks, wonderful tea, fresh bread, cakes and homemade soup at Café Blue Moon on the edge of the dance floor. Just Magic&Mood...!

    Rosa
  • Charles Guénaud - Chamalières, France
I met Eva and Annika this summer at a tango double role event… Thanks to them, I attended my first lindy hop class there ! That was just awesome !
I like this idea to let one dance being influenced by another. Tango, Lindy Hop… oh well, are we not just dancers  ? Are we not just willing to create together OUR dance ? You know, this poetic and musical moment  that only YOU and I can live ?
I’m  enthusiastic about joining the organization team…. And to meet each of you on the dance floor !

    Charles
  • Alexandra Könz - Zürich, Schweiz
I was an enthusiastic Lindy Hop dancer when I discovered Tango and I love both dances. As different as they are, Tango and Lindy have many parallels: the close connection in the couple, the freedom to improvise, precision, dynamics and the joint creation of an intimate moment in the music. Tango and Lindy complement and enrich each other. I am therefore really looking forward to When Tango'es Lindy!

    Alex
  • Annika Pahlén- Stockholm, Sweden
I first encountered Lindy Hop many years ago, where the joy of improvisation and the authenticity spoke directly to my heart. A few years later Tango found me – a dance that captivates with its complexity and profound wordless connection. While Lindy Hop and Tango may seem worlds apart, for me they complement each other in the most beautiful way. Lindy Hop’s lively movements and playful spirit serve as a contrast to Tango’s intimate, grounded presence, but the two share a powerful sense of connection and communication between partners. Both dances also emphasize the importance of musicality and improvisation. I am so happy to be part of this absolute dream team with my dear friends and I can't wait to meet you all on the dancefloor or over a good cup of tea.
  • Sanna Nousiainen, Rovaniemi Finland
I am happy to join the team – I met Eva and Annika for the first time at a double role tango camp in 2024, shared some dances and discussions over dinners, and all the sudden found new friends. I am a “mixed user” of tango and swing dances for over a decade.  I like to search for the connection in dance, with floor, with music, with partner and when that is found, we can create wonderful moments together. Let’s try it!

Sanna
  • Eva Sacchi- Bern, Schweiz
In 1997 I organized the first dance camp for Tango and Lindy Hop in Switzerland. Ever since, from time to time, I just feel the urge to organize dancing events, to bring close together my wonderful friends and these two most beautiful dances ... again and again.
